Presque Isle State Park, Erie, Pennsylvania - This was the day I managed to get our rental van stuck in the sand for a good hour and almost missed sunrise. I guess the lesson is to make sure you get up early enough (or, you know, don't drive a Kia Sedona halfway onto a dry beach).The long exposure is what makes this photo work. If I hadn't left the shutter open long enough to blur the water, the glow from the sky reflecting on the water never would have been picked up by the camera.
